KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Security Engineer Content Developer join our KPMG Technology Organization.


  • Proactively seek, monitor for and respond to security incidents while driving improvement of security event detection by developing content; subject knowledge expert of proper security design philosophy

  • Perform complex data analysis in support of security event management processes, including root cause analysis

  • Manage Splunk ES knowledge objects such as apps, dashboards, saved Searches, scheduled searches and alerts; work with stakeholders to optimize Splunk ES deployment

  • Support incident response lifecycle by building and tuning alerts, dashboards and reports; provide proactive monitoring and/or response to known and emerging threats utilizing Splunk and other security tools

  • Evaluate external threat intelligence sources related to zero day attacks, exploit kits and malware to determine organizational risk and improve threat detections


  • Minimum five years of progressive security monitoring experience, security operations, and incident response activities; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand complex problems while formally presenting them simplistically

  • Ability to lead meetings, divide responsibilities, and influence people to take action to assist in the resolution of security incidents

  • Understanding of network and system intrusion and detection methods; examples of related technologies include Next Generation Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP); Python scripting skills a plus

  • US Citizenship required
